Colours of the Past

Colours of the Past – A colouring book for paleontology enthusiasts with scientifically up-to-date templates of the 12 most popular dinosaurs.

Description

Colours of the Past was created with paleontology enthusiasts in mind, no matter what age.

It is a collection of scientifically up-to-date templates of the 12 best-known and most referred-to dinosaurs for you. I am not claiming that they are absolutely accurate, because we may never know for sure what they really looked like. They are, however, drawn to the best of my knowledge and as anatomically correct as possible.

You will find one of my own colour interpretations for each animal for inspiration, along with cues about what to consider for your own colour testing.

Prompts for story telling

There are also some questions and prompts to help you along with telling a story in your drawings. You can, of course, simply use the template for the purpose of colouring them in.

Craft Ideas

As an add-on, you can find some craft ideas for the younger generation or those who simply like making. Some of them are perfect for a dino-themed birthday party!

As an add-on, you can find some craft ideas for the younger generation or those who simply like making. Some of them are perfect for a dino-themed birthday party!

Please note that the craft suggestions are only rough ideas, not step-by-step instructions. The bonus templates have been designed to be used for some of these ideas so that they are easy enough to perform for a child with some help from an adult or for an adult with some basic craft skills. Experience with scaling on a printer is helpful.

Here is what you can do with Colours of the Past:

Use these templates to

  • re-create your favourite dinosaur in the colours of your choice.
  • print them over and over to test your preferred colour theory.

  • scale them up or down for craft projects.
